An arrest was made as a result of an investigation into an incident that occurred on September 25 involving threatening writing at Oswego High School. On Monday, October 1, 2018, Oswego Police arrested a 16 year old male from Montgomery. The male, who is a student at Oswego High School, is alleged to have written down a list of names and threatened violence at the school. He was arrested at the school and taken into custody at approximately 11 a.m. The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office approved a felony charge of disorderly conduct, a Class 2 felony, against the student. He was released to his parents pending a court date of October 2, 2018. The student was identified through the investigative efforts of the Oswego Police Department and Community School District 308. Through information learned during the investigation, it was determined there was no credible threat of danger to the students, staff or the public.
