Fire Prevention Month Open House 2018

On Saturday, October 6, 2018 for Fire Prevention Month, the Oswego Fire Protection District will be hosting an Open House at Station One at 3511 Woolley Rd, in Oswego.  This event is a great opportunity to meet Sparky the Fire Dog and to learn about fire prevention, fire safety and the fire department.

The day’s activities will include a live fire demonstration, a safety trailer for the kids to through, and a fire engine to climb in.  Kids will be able to try on real fire gear, show everyone their “Stop, Drop, and Roll” skills, go through an obstacle course and meet the real firefighters.

The most popular potion of the Open House, every year, is the raffle, where there is a chance for one lucky student to win a ride to school in a fire engine.

There will be light refreshments and popcorn. The Open House iwll run from 11 am until 3pm
