September 23, 2018 (Oswego, II) At 10:45 hours the Kendall County 911 Center (KENCOM) received multiple 911 calls for a report of a fully involved trailer fire in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road Yorkville, IL.
Upon arrival firefighters found a fully involved mobile home trailer. The fire was contained to the trailer of origin at that time. However, an adjacent trailer sustained minor heat damage. Firefighters extinguished the fire within 10 minutes. Oswego Fire Investigates estimate damages to the trailer and its contents to be in excess of $5,000.
No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported at the scene
Oswego Fire Protection District was assisted by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and Station coverage from Plainfield Fire and Naperville Fire Departments.
The Oswego Fire Protection District was formed by voter referendum in March of 1936, covers over 60 square miles in the northeast portion of Kendall County and about 1.5 square miles of northwest unincorporated Will County.
