A Good Samaritan, and Oswego High School grad, who prefers to remain nameless, happened upon two vehicles on fire today at approximately 6:30 pm, Saturday August 11th, near I88 and Rt 59.
While on his way home from work he noticed two cars on fire and as he cautiously approached realized a man was attempting to pull an unconscious woman from a car but to no avail. Quickly he put his vehicle in reverse and tried to help get the door open.
Unfortunately the collision had caused the door to become jammed, and after several failed attempts by a few others to break the window, our Good Samaritan bashed it in with a steel tube from the back of his truck. Along with the help of a few others they were able to pry the door back open and save the woman.
“It was so nerve wracking that once the ordeal was done I almost threw up…it was so intense.” said the Good Samaritan
“[I was just] so happy I didn’t have to witness what we thought we were going to have to witness.”
