Threatening E-Mail Received by Thompson Junior High School

On Sunday, January 6, 2019, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Oswego Police Department received a report from Community School District 308 involving an email that was received by a Thompson Junior High School staff member containing a threat to the school. Oswego Police investigated the incident and have determined there is no credible threat to students or staff. Oswego Police are still investigating the incident in cooperation with Community School District 308 in order to ensure the safety of the school’s students and staff. An increased police presence may be observed at the school on Monday, January 7, and while the investigation continues.

Alternatively, anonymous reports can also be made to Kendall Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999, where tips leading to arrests may receive a cash reward of up to $1000.
