Oswego Man Arrested on Felony Charge Against Gas Station Clerk

On Monday, January 7, 2019, at approximately 3:00 a.m., an arrest was made after Oswego Police responded to 6501 Route 34 for a suspicious circumstance call. It is alleged that John S. ARRICHIELLO had been conversing with an employee inside a gas station store for approximatel 90 minutes, he then exited the store and when the employee, a 28-year-old male stepped out of the store, ARRICHIELLO approached him and punched him repeatedly until the employee got away and locked himself inside the store. Responding officers encountered the two men still at the gas station. The employee was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening facial injuries. No information is available on his current condition.

The subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of 31-year-old ARRICHIELLO, who was taken into custody and brought to the Oswego Police Headquarters from the scene. The Kendall County State’s Attorne approved a felony charge of aggravated battery against ARRICHIELLO. He was processed at the Oswego Police Department and transported to the Kendall County Public Safety Center to await a bond hearing January 7, 2019.
